Job summary

Elkton Nursing & Rehab Center in Maryland is seeking an Activities Assistant to engage residents, including those with dementia, with a creative and energetic approach. The role focuses on planning and leading group activities, supporting one-to-one visits, and promoting resident well-being through meaningful engagement.

The successful candidate will be a high school graduate or GED, with prior experience preferred, and a passion for fulfilling activity programs.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with dementia preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and/or assists with assignments and activity groups.
• Provides one-to-one activities to meet resident needs.
• Assists with input and planning of activities.
• Escorts residents to and from activities.
• Projects a positive image of the organization to residents and staff.

Activities Assistant

Activity Assistant will have experience working with individuals with dementia, have a highly enthusiastic personality, and be able to develop creative activities for our residents.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and/or assists with assignments and assigned activity groups
• One-to-one activities utilizing interpersonal needs to meet resident/client needs
• Provides input and assistance with activity planning
• Escort residents to and from activities
• Projects a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, co-workers, public
