Job summary

Haida Nursing and Rehab is seeking an energetic Activity Assistant for a few extra evening hours. The role focuses on creating engaging activities that promote physical, cognitive, and social engagement for residents.

You will plan, facilitate daily events with the Activity Director, design enriching programs, and collaborate with the care team to maintain a safe, enjoyable atmosphere for residents. A passion for seniors and strong communication are key.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Activity Assistant, you will have the rewarding opportunity to create an engaging and fun environment for our residents. Your responsibilities will include:

• Event Planning & Facilitation: Work closely with the Activity Director to plan, organize, and lead daily events that promote physical, cognitive, and social engagement.
• Resident Enrichment: Design and implement activities that enhance residents' quality of life and encourage physical, mental, and social interaction.
• Safety & Fun: Ensure that participants are safe, engaged, and having a great time during activities.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the rest of the staff to create a positive and stimulating environment for residents.
