Heights Care and Rehab is seeking an Activities Assistant to bring life, purpose, and engagement to residents in a skilled nursing setting. You will work with the Activities Director to plan and run group and individual activities that enhance quality of life.

The role emphasizes high energy, creativity, and compassionate interaction with seniors, with some evenings, weekends, or holidays required. Join a supportive team and help make moments matter.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting daily activities including games, crafts, music, exercise programs, outings, and special events.
• Encourage resident participation while honoring individual preferences and abilities.
• Provide one-on-one engagement for residents who are unable or unwilling to attend group programming.
• Help decorate for holidays and themed events to maintain a vibrant, home-like environment.
• Document participation and resident response in accordance with facility policy.
• Transport residents safely to and from activities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure programming supports resident goals.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Activities Assistant supports the implementation of engaging recreational, social, and therapeutic programming for residents in a skilled nursing environment. This role works closely with the Activities Director to plan, organize, and facilitate group and one-on-one activities that enhance residents’ quality of life.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
