Job summary

Oak Park Place seeks an enthusiastic Activity Assistant to help plan and run engaging programs for residents. You will assist in organizing events, lead recreational activities, and foster socialization under the guidance of the Activity Director.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience working with the elderly preferred.
• Previous experience in an activity’s role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the Activity Director, help organize, plan, and execute a well-balanced activity program.
• Lead and promote interest in arts, crafts, games, and recreational activities.
• Encourage resident participation and generate positive engagement.
• Collaborate with all departments to meet resident needs.
• Assess interests of individuals and groups to tailor activities.

The Activity Assistant job responsibilities include planing, organizing, and implementing recreational and social events to enhance the well-being of residents with a goal of promoting regular socialization and physical activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Working under the direction of the Activity Director you will help organize, plan, and execute a well-balanced activity program
• Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities, such as arts, crafts, and games
• Generate positivity and encourage resident participation
• Work with all departments to ensure resident needs are being met
• Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities accordingly

Requirements

Activity Assistant Qualifications

• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
• Previous experience working with the elderly preferred
