Job summary

The Waters in Indiana is hiring a Part Time Activity Aide to support residents through a planned activity program. You will assist the Activity Director, maintain records, and help transport residents to activities, while following policies and regulations.

CNA preferred but not required; successful candidates possess a high school diploma, a valid F-endorsement driver's license, and flexible hours including evenings, weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Valid driver's license with F-Endorsement.
• Ability to drive the facility van.
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Must meet health assessment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Aides assist the recreational activities leader or activities director, helping patients or participants use equipment and supplies.
• Activities may include arts and crafts, outdoor activities, sports, music or drama.
• Prepares equipment and ensures the safety of patients or participants in the activity.
• Assist in leading the participants in group activities, such as an exercise class or art project.
• Proper record keeping of equipment and its use.
• Assist in planning programs for residents, which can help to provide socialization, relaxation and exercise.
