Job summary

Waters of Fort Wayne is seeking an Activity Aide to support the Activity Director in carrying out the activity program for residents. You will transport residents, maintain records, and assist with clerical tasks and equipment safety.

The role requires a high school diploma and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays. CNA preferred but not required, with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Energetic and personable to work with residents.
• CNA preferred but not required.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
• Must meet health assessment requirements, including Mantoux skin tests.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in carrying out the planned activity program for residents.
• Transport residents to and from activities.
• Maintain records and perform clerical tasks related to activities.
• Assist in leading group activities (exercise, arts, crafts, music, etc.).
• Ensure safety of participants and proper use of equipment.
• Plan programs to provide socialization, relaxation and exercise.
