Job summary

Lawrence Healthcare in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas is seeking an Activities Aide to plan, organize, and facilitate engaging recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for residents in a long-term care setting. You will work with the Activities Director and nursing staff to ensure safe, respectful programming that aligns with care plans and resident interests while assisting with transporting residents.

Qualifications include a current Arkansas CNA license and completion of an approved CNA

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid and active Arkansas CNA license.
• Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program.
• Prior activities experience in a long term care facility preferred.

Job Summary

The Activities Aide assists with planning, organizing, and facilitating meaningful recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for residents in the long-term care facility. This position promotes resident engagement, socialization, independence, and quality of life by providing activities that accommodate residents’ individual interests, abilities, and needs. The Activities Aide works closely with the Activities Director and nursing staff to ensure activities are conducted safely, respectfully, and in accordance with facility policies and resident care plans. The Activity Aide will assist with transporting residents. May work as a C.N.A.

Job Education, Licenses/Certifications, Knowledge & Experience

Must hold a valid and active license in good standing as a C.N.A in the state of Arkansas. Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program. Prior Activities Experience in a long term care facility preferred.
