Job summary

Lawrence Healthcare is seeking an Activities Aide in Walnut Ridge, AR to assist in planning, organizing, and facilitating meaningful recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for residents in our long-term care facility. You will promote engagement, independence, and quality of life, working with the Activities Director and nursing staff to ensure safety and adherence to care plans.

Applicants must hold an active Arkansas CNA license and have completed a state-approved nursing assistant

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid and active CNA license in Arkansas.
• Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program.

Responsibilities

Job Objective/Summary:

The Activities Aide assists with planning, organizing, and facilitating meaningful recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for residents in the long-term care facility. This position promotes resident engagement, socialization, independence, and quality of life by providing activities that accommodate residents’ individual interests, abilities, and needs. The Activities Aide works closely with the Activities Director and nursing staff to ensure activities are conducted safely, respectfully, and in accordance with facility policies and resident care plans. The Activity Aide will assist with transporting residents. May work as a C.N.A.

Job Education, Licenses/Certifications, Knowledge & Experience:

Must hold a valid and active license in good standing as a C.N.A in the state of Arkansas. Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program.
