Job summary

Southview Acres Healthcare Center in West Saint Paul, MN, seeks an Activities Coordinator to enhance residents' quality of life through engaging programs. The role includes coordinating the calendar, attending IDT meetings, completing assessments, and supervising volunteers.

You will implement group and one-to-one activities, plan special events, and participate in care conferences with a compassionate, team-oriented approach in a memory care/LTC setting.

Qualifications

• Oral and Written English Communication Skills.
• Experience in LTC/Memory Care environments is preferred.
• A caring demeanor and positive attitude.
• Teamwork attitude and dedication to residents' well-being.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and create the activities program calendar.
• Attend IDT meetings and care conferences.

Southview Acres Healthcare Centeris recruiting for a Activities Coordinatorto become a part of our team!

Providing our residents with fun and entertainment is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do at the facility, and we are looking for someone with a passion for caring for others and looking to touch the lives of our residents in a positive way!
The job will entailcoordinating and creating the program calendar, attending IDT, completing assessments/care plans, attending care conferences, supervising volunteers, implementing group, one to one programs, and special events.

Hours: 4 days/week, every other weekend rotation

Job Requirements:

• A college diploma with a degree in therapeutic recreation, music therapy, COTA.
• Experience working in LTC/Memory Care
• Music background preferred but not necessary

• The motivation to get tasks completed timely and efficiently
• Oral and Written English Communication Skills
• A teamwork attitude
