Job summary

Southview Acres Healthcare Center is seeking an Activities Coordinator to join our team. The role focuses on creating engaging programs for residents, coordinating the calendar, and supporting memory care residents.

You will attend IDT, complete assessments, supervise volunteers, and run group and 1:1 activities and special events. A college diploma in therapeutic recreation or related field is required.

We value a caring, positive attitude, teamwork, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• College diploma in therapeutic recreation or related field.
• Experience in LTC/Memory Care.
• Music background preferred but not required.
• English communication skills, oral and written.
• Teamwork and caring demeanor.

Responsibilities

Southview Acres Healthcare Center is recruiting for a Activities Coordinator to become a part of our team!

Providing our residents with fun and entertainment is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do at the facility, and we are looking for someone with a passion for caring for others and looking to touch the lives of our residents in a positive way!

The job will entail coordinating and creating the program calendar, attending IDT, completing assessments/care plans, attending care conferences, supervising volunteers, implementing group, one to one programs, and special events.

Hours: 4 days/week, every other weekend rotation

Job Requirements:

• A college diploma with a degree in therapeutic recreation, music therapy, COTA.
• Experience working in LTC/Memory Care
• Music background preferred but not necessary

• The motivation to get tasks completed timely and efficiently
• Oral and Written English Communication Skills
• A teamwork attitude
