Job summary

Lakewood-Nursing-and-Reha is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Aide to enhance residents' daily living through engaging programs and social activities.

You will support group and individual activities, maintain accurate records, and help plan events in a compassionate Extended Care setting.

Qualifications

• 1 - 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate ongoing group and individual activity programs based on residents’ needs, interests, and abilities, as identified in assessments and care plans.
• Complete required record-keeping upon resident admission, discharge, and transfer; chart and document per facility policy.
• Assist in creating the activity calendar and coordinating events.
• Follow and maintain established policies and procedures.
• Encourage resident participation in Resident Council and schedule monthly meetings.
