Capstone Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a full-time Activity Aide to organize daily group programs and provide engaging activities for residents in a supportive environment.

You will facilitate group activities, assist with transport, set up spaces, track attendance, and offer one-on-one interactions to enhance residents' well-being. A compassionate, energetic approach is essential in this role.

Competenze

• Preferred experience in a long-term care facility.
• High school diploma is required.
• Interpersonal skills: warm, patient, and energetic attitude when working with older adults.

Mansioni

• Run daily group programs like bingo, music hours, exercise classes, and arts and crafts.
• Transport residents to and from the activity room safely.
• Setup and cleanup: arrange chairs, tables, and equipment before events and pack away afterward.
• Track attendance and keep daily records of participation.
• Provide one-on-one visits and engage residents individually.
• Report changes in mood or behavior to nursing staff.

Activity Aide Job description

• Run daily group programs like bingo, music hours, exercise classes, and arts and crafts.
• Transport Residents: Help residents get to and from the activity room safely using wheelchairs or walkers.
• Setup and Cleanup: Arrange chairs, tables, and equipment before events begin and pack them away afterward.
• Track Attendance: Keep daily records of who joins each event to measure resident participation.
• Provide One-on-One Visits: Spend time with roombound residents to offer conversation and personal engagement.
• Report Changes: Notice changes in a resident's mood or behavior and share updates with the nursing staff.

Activity Aide Job Requirements
