Capstone Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a full-time Activity Aide to plan and run engaging programs for residents, including bingo, music hours, exercise classes, and arts and crafts.

You will transport residents using wheelchairs or walkers, set up and clean up spaces, track attendance, and provide one-on-one visits to support social and emotional well-being in a home-like environment.

Competenze

• Preferred experience in a long-term care facility.
• High school diploma.
• Interpersonal skills: a warm, patient, and energetic attitude when working with older adults.

Mansioni

Activity Aide Job description:

• Run daily group programs like bingo, music hours, exercise classes, and arts and crafts.
• Transport Residents: Help residents get to and from the activity room safely using wheelchairs or walkers.
• Setup and Cleanup: Arrange chairs, tables, and equipment before events begin and pack them away afterward.
• Track Attendance: Keep daily records of who joins each event to measure resident participation.
• Provide One-on-One Visits: Spend time with roombound residents to offer conversation and personal engagement.
• Report Changes: Notice changes in a resident's mood or behavior and share updates with the nursing staff.

Activity Aide Job Requirements
