Huntingdon Park Nursing Home is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Aide to join our team on a part-time basis. You will plan, lead, and participate in engaging activities for residents, fostering resident participation and creating a positive, resident-centered environment.

The role emphasizes strong communication, empathy, and teamwork, with schedule including every other weekend and mostly daytime hours, with occasional evenings. Join us to make meaningful daily impacts for seniors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in a healthcare, long-term care preferred, or activity's role is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable engaging with elderly residents in group and one-on-one settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and leading recreational and social activities for residents.
• Encourage resident participation and engagement in programs and events.
• Support group activities, games, crafts, music, and special events.
• Assist with decorating and preparing for holidays and facility events.
• Escort and support residents as needed during activities.
• Maintain activity supplies and ensure areas are organized; Document resident participation when required.
• Promote a positive, friendly, and resident-centered environment.

Huntingdon Park Nursing Home is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Aide to join our team full-time. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with seniors and is passionate about creating meaningful, engaging daily experiences for residents.

Schedule

• Part Time (Every other weekend)
• Mostly day-time hours, may be asked to do an evening activity periodically
