Huntingdon Park Nursing Home is looking for an energetic Activity Aide to lead and participate in daily activities for residents. The role promotes engagement, social interaction, and a resident-centered atmosphere on a full-time basis.

You will coordinate a range of activities, support holiday events, and document participation while fostering a compassionate, team-oriented environment for seniors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Healthcare/long-term care experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead recreational and social activities for residents.
• Encourage resident participation and engagement in programs and events.
• Support group activities, games, crafts, music, and special events.
• Assist with decorating and preparing for holidays and facility events.
• Escort and support residents as needed during activities.
• Maintain activity supplies and ensure areas are organized.
• Document resident participation when required.
• Promote a positive, friendly, and resident-centered environment.

Huntingdon Park Nursing Home is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Aide to join our team full-time. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with seniors and is passionate about creating meaningful, engaging daily experiences for residents.

Schedule

• Part Time (Every other weekend)
• Mostly day-time hours, may be asked to do an evening activity periodically

Responsibilities of Activity Aide

• Assist in planning, organizing, and leading recreational and social activities for residents

Qualifications for Activity Aide

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in a healthcare, long-term care preferred, or activity's role is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable engaging with elderly residents in group and one-on-one settings
