Job summary

Arcadia Care Bloomington is seeking an Activity Aide to assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs aligned with the resident’s assessment and care plan.

The role supports the Activities Department by planning and documenting daily activity programs, preparing rooms, and guiding residents in scheduled and unscheduled activities to promote well‑being and engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm, and be willing to handle residents at varying maturity levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and charting daily activity programs.
• Prepare and clean activity rooms/areas for scheduled activity programs.
• Oversee residents’ engagement in scheduled and unscheduled activities to promote physical, social, and mental well‑being.

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of the Activity Aide is to assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan.

Essential Duties:

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and charting for the daily activity programs & quality assurance for the Activities Department.
• Assist in preparing and cleaning up activity rooms/areas for scheduled activity programs.
• Assist in overseeing residents’ engagement in scheduled and unscheduled activities to promote the physical, social, and mental well-being of residents.
