Job summary

Signature HealthCARE in Louisville, KY is seeking an Activities Aide/ CNA to support resident-centered programming. You will assist in social, emotional, physical and therapeutic activities, help initiate in-house and community events, and provide in-room activities for residents who cannot attend.

The role requires patience with cognitive or sensory challenges and willingness to cover floor duties as needed. Join an award-winning team.

Qualifications

• Experience in activities and healthcare preferred.
• CNA certification or willingness to obtain preferred.
• Ability to engage residents with cognitive/sensory needs.
• Must be willing to cover floor duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in activities to meet social, emotional, physical and other therapeutic needs of residents
• Assist in initiation and promotion of activities inside and outside facility
• Provide in-room activities for residents unable to attend daily events
• Assist in creation of ongoing activity calendar
• Meet State Standards for activity scheduling and documentation
• Solicit community involvement when planning activities and events

How You Will Make a Difference

• Assist in the activities to meet the social, emotional, physical and other therapeutic needs of residents
• Assist in the initiation and promotion of activities both within the facility and outside the facility.
• Provide in room activities for residents who are unable to attend daily events.
• Assist in the creation of an ongoing calendar of activities.
• Consistently meet State Standards for activity scheduling and documentation
• Solicit the involvement of the community when planning facility activities and events.

What You Need To Make a Difference

• Previous Activities/Healthcare Experience preferred, but not required.
• CNA Preferred, but not required.
• Skilled at working with individuals who have cognitive, physical or sensory disabilities.

MUST also be willing to work the floor as needed (emergency) as a CNA.
