Job summary

Signature HealthCARE of Parkwood is seeking an Activities Department member to support residents' social, emotional, and physical needs through engaging programs. You will help plan, initiate, and deliver activities inside and outside the facility, including in-room sessions for residents who cannot attend daily events.

Prior healthcare experience is preferred; CNA preferred but not required. You will work in a facility that values community involvement and adheres to state standards, with a

Responsibilities

• Assist in activities to meet residents' social, emotional, physical, and therapeutic needs.
• Assist in initiation and promotion of activities inside and outside the facility.
• Provide in-room activities for residents unable to attend daily events.
• Help create an ongoing activities calendar.
• Ensure scheduling and documentation meet state standards.
• Encourage community involvement when planning activities and events.

How You Will Make a Difference

• Assist in the activities to meet the social, emotional, physical and other therapeutic needs of residents
• Assist in the initiation and promotion of activities both within the facility and outside the facility.
• Provide in-room activities for residents who are unable to attend daily events.
• Assist in the creation of an ongoing calendar of activities.
• Consistently meet State Standards for activity scheduling and documentation
• Solicit the involvement of the community when planning facility activities and events.

What You Need To Make a Difference

• Previous Activities/Healthcare Experience preferred, but not required.
• CNA Preferred, but not required.
• Skilled at working with individuals who have cognitive, physical or sensory disabilities.
