Job summary

Mini Cassia in Burley, Idaho seeks an Activities Staff member to identify residents' preferences, lead engaging activities, and support the care team with compassionate, individualized care.

You will adapt activities to cognitive and physical levels, maintain safe spaces, and collaborate with the Activity Director on programming.

Responsibilities

• Identify and support each resident's preferences, routines, and needs; communicate updates to the care team
• Lead individual and group activities aligned with residents' interests and abilities
• Adapt activities to meet cognitive and physical levels using prompts, demonstrations, and assistance
• Encourage participation while respecting cultural and religious preferences
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe activity spaces
• Store equipment and supplies properly after use
• Collaborate with the Activity Director on programming and planning
• Complete additional duties as assigned

What we're looking for:

• Ability to read, speak, and understand English
• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• TRS or TRT certification preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in long-term geriatric care
• Experience leading or supporting activities preferred
• May be exposed to bodily fluids and communicable illnesses

  • Full range of motion; able to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Adequate vision and hearing (with or without assistive devices)
  • Meets facility health and screening requirements
