Job summary

Ponderosa Villa in Crawford, Nebraska, is seeking a compassionate Part Time Activities Specialist to support residents with engaging group and individual activities, tailoring programs to interests and abilities while ensuring safety and respect. You will collaborate with the care team, document updates, and help create a welcoming, patient-centered environment.

A high school diploma is required; TRS or TRT certification is preferred, with at least 1 year in long-term geriatric care.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• TRS or TRT certification preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in long-term geriatric care.
• Experience leading or supporting activities preferred.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Identify and support residents' preferences, routines, and needs; communicate updates to the care team.
• Lead individual and group activities aligned with residents' interests and abilities.
• Adapt activities to meet cognitive and physical levels using prompts, demonstrations, and assistance.
• Encourage participation while respecting cultural and religious preferences.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe activity spaces.
• Store equipment and supplies properly after use.
• Collaborate with the Activity Director on programming and planning.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

What we're looking for:
