Job summary

Briarwood Village is seeking an Activities Director to lead the care community's activity program and coordinate resident engagement. The role involves developing and evaluating programming, completing MDS sections, and tailoring care plans to each resident.

You will also develop the volunteer program and ensure calendar coverage across weekends and evenings. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent; college or clerical schooling is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; college/clerical schooling is preferred.
• Completion of an Activity Director Course or 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and evaluate activity programming within the care community.
• Complete sections of the MDS and develop care plans specific to each resident.
• Interview new residents and families to determine interests, abilities, and background.
• Develop and manage the Volunteer program and maintain supplies for activities.
• Participate in the QAPI process and maintain professional competence.
• Schedule and evaluate staff to ensure adequate program coverage, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Create and manage the activity calendar; perform other duties as assigned.
