Harborview Health Systems is seeking an Activity Director to lead engaging activities for residents in a faith-based long-term care setting. The role involves planning, organizing and executing a variety of activities that promote physical, mental and emotional well-being.

You will develop individualized plans for residents, including those with dementia, and work closely with staff to ensure activities match residents' preferences and abilities.

Qualifications

• Activity certification preferred.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care is a plus.

What You Will Do

• Plan, organize, and lead engaging activities including live entertainment, off-site daytrips that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being for residents.
• Develop individualized activity plans that cater to the unique needs of residents with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure activities align with residents' preferences and abilities.
• Manage schedules for group activities while accommodating individual needs and preferences.
• Facilitate recreational therapy sessions aimed at enhancing residents' quality of life.
• Maintain accurate records of participation and outcomes related to activities.
• Duties as assigned

What You Must Have

• Activity certification preferred
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care is a plus
