Job summary

Tutera Senior Living & Health Care is seeking an Activities Director to plan and implement engaging programs that meet residents' social, spiritual, intellectual, and physical needs, aligned with the care plan. This full-time position offers an opportunity to bring energy and compassion to a dedicated team.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in recreation therapy or related field, licensure or registration, and at least one year in a LTC setting; certification as a Certified Activities Director

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or related area is required.
• Must be licensed or registered either nationally or by the state of practice.
• Minimum of one year of experience as an Activities Director in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.
• Two years of experience conducting social and recreational programs within the past five years, including full-time resident activities experience in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement a program of activity and leisure pursuits to meet residents’ social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational and physical needs.
• Align activities with the comprehensive resident care plan.
• Maintain a professional image and strong written and oral communication.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a program of activity and leisure pursuits designed to meet the social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational and physical needs and interests of residents in accordance with the comprehensive resident care plan.

Do You Have What It Takes?

• A fire and passion for working with seniors
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
• Accreditation as a Certified Activities Director preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or related area. Should be licensed or registered either nationally or by the State in which practicing.
• Minimum of one year of experience as an Activities Director in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.
• Two years of experience conducting social and recreational programs within the past five years, one of which must be full-time in a resident activities program in a health care setting.
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
