Job summary

Tutera Senior Living & Health Care is seeking an Activities Director to design, coordinate, and lead a program of activities that meet residents' social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational and physical needs within the care plan. This role requires enthusiasm for seniors and the ability to create engaging, meaningful experiences every day.

The position offers a collaborative environment with an emphasis on growth, ongoing training, and supportive supervision to ensure residents

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or related field; must be licensed or registered.
• Minimum of one year of experience as an Activities Director in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.
• Two years of experience conducting social and recreational programs within the past five years, one full-time in a health care setting.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement a program of activity and leisure pursuits for residents.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a program of activity and leisure pursuits designed to meet the social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational and physical needs and interests of residents in accordance with the comprehensive resident care plan.

Do You Have What It Takes?

• A fire and passion for working with seniors
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
• Accreditation as a Certified Activities Director preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or related area. Should be licensed or registered either nationally or by the State in which practicing.
• Minimum of one year of experience as an Activities Director in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.
• Two years of experience conducting social and recreational programs within the past five years, one of which must be full-time in a resident activities program in a health care setting.
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
