Job summary

SanStone Health & Rehabilitation in Pinehurst, NC, seeks a friendly Activities Assistant to plan, implement, and evaluate recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs for residents in accordance with care plans. You will encourage participation, organize games, crafts, religious services, parties, and outings, and support residents individually and in groups.

• Plan, implement, and evaluate recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs per resident care plans.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities and organize games, crafts, religious services, parties, etc.
• Meet and visit with residents individually and in groups; assist with crafts and other projects.

The Activities Assistant participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisor. The Activities Assistant encourages residents to participate in recreational social activities and organizes games, crafts, religious services, parties, etc. for the residents. Activities may include movie nights, parties, outdoor events, shopping trips, and games. The Activities Assistant meets and visits with residents on an individual and group basis, and assists with crafts, and other projects, as necessary.
