Tutera Senior Living & Health Care is seeking an Activities Director for McKay Manor Senior Living in Shelbyville, KY. You will plan, organize, and implement a comprehensive activities program designed to meet the social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational and physical needs of residents, in accordance with the resident care plan.

The ideal candidate has a passion for seniors, a flexible and energetic personality, and excellent written and oral communication skills.

Qualifications

• A fire and passion for working with seniors.
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality.
• Accreditation as a Certified Activities Director preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or related area; licensed or registered nationally or by the practicing state.
• Minimum of one year of experience as an Activities Director in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.
• Two years of social/recreational program experience within last five years, including at least one year full-time in a resident activities program in health care.
• Professional image in appearance and behavior; Excellent written and oral communication skills.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a program of activity and leisure pursuits designed to meet the social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational and physical needs and interests of residents in accordance with the comprehensive resident care plan.

Do You Have What It Takes?

• A fire and passion for working with seniors
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
• Accreditation as a Certified Activities Director preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or related area. Should be licensed or registered either nationally or by the State in which practicing.
• Minimum of one year of experience as an Activities Director in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.
• Two years of experience conducting social and recreational programs within the past five years, one of which must be full-time in a resident activities program in a health care setting.
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
