Job summary

Ridgewood Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a full-time Activities Director to plan and coordinate engaging activities for residents, both on-site and in community outings. You will lead a team, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and tailor programs to resident well-being.

The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal and organizational skills, experience in recreational planning in health care, and a genuine interest in geriatric care. Competitive salary and PTO available.

Job Description: The primary purpose of this position if to plan, organize, develop, and implement activities on the units and on community outings with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, facility established polices and procedures to assure that an on-going program of activities designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being of each resident is maintained.

Qualifications for Activities Director:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in Recreational Planning and Development in a health care setting
• A genuine interest in working closely with the geriatric population and their families
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills, as well as the ability to lead and manage others
