Job summary

Wallick Communities at The Ashford at Sturbridge is seeking an Activities Director to provide residents with weekly activities, fostering camaraderie and a sense of purpose. You will help residents stay mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and socially engaged.

The role requires leading a team of activities assistants, managing supplies, and coordinating with other departments and marketing to promote programs. Prior experience in assisted living is a plus.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, implement and supervise activities for residents.
Lead and supervise activities assistants including daily delegation.
Manage supplies budget and purchases on a regular basis.
Liaise between departments to communicate resident progress and involvement.
Collaborate with marketing to showcase activities to prospective residents and families.

About your role as an Activities Director:

In accordance with theWallickMission andValues,the Activities Director help to provide our residents with weekly activities to provide comradery with their neighbors, and instilling a sense of purpose, worth, and meaning. These activities will help them strive mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and socially.

Your Responsibilities as an Activities Director on our team:

Plan, organize, implement, and supervise activities for our residents while maintaining confidentiality of personal and medical file information.
Motivates and encourages resident involvement and participation.
Lead a team of activities assistants including daily delegation and supervision of activities
Manage the supplies budget, and purchase what is needed on a regular basis.
Serves as the liaison between all departments in the community to communicate resident progress and involvement in activities.
Partner with our marketing team to provide activities information as a selling point to potential new residents and their families

About You:

Youhave great customer service skills, and areflexible, compassionate,and dependable. Previous experience working in an Assisted Living or Memory Care Community is a plus, butall are encouraged to apply!

You have a high school diploma or GED.
You are friendly and motivated to enrich the lives of our senior citizen residents.
You are an organized self-starter.
You have good computer skills.
You are adaptable and flexible.
