Job summary

Wallick Communities is seeking an Activities Assistant at our Ashford at Sturbridge location to plan activities, exercise programs, events and outings for residents, helping them maintain independence and joy.

You will support residents, coordinate with the Activities Director, protect confidentiality, and perform administrative tasks. A high school diploma or GED is desirable, and proficiency with Microsoft Office is preferred; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED desirable.
• Previous experience in an Assisted Living community is a plus.
• Must be organized and self-motivated.
• Ability to communicate with coworkers, residents and family members.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office.
• Make routine decisions requiring minimal judgment.
• Valid Driver’s License required and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Plan activities, exercise programs, events and outings for all residents.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all personnel and medical file information.
• Motivate and encourage resident involvement in activities.
• Report information to Activities Director or charge nurse regarding problems.
• Perform administrative requirements and submit to Activities Director.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Plan activities, exercise programs, events and outing for all residents.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all personnel and medical file information.
• Motivates and encourages resident involvement in the participation in activities.
• Reports information to Activities Director or charge nurse of any problems with difficult or disturbed residents, family, care givers, or staff.
• Perform administrative requirements and submit to Activities Director.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED desirable.
• Previous experience working at an Assisted Living community a plus.
• Must be organized and self‑motivated.
• Ability to communicate with co‑workers, residents and family members.
• Must be proficient using Microsoft Office.
• Make routine decisions requiring minimal judgment.
• You must also have and maintain a Valid Driver’s License
