Job summary

Barrington Terrace Fort Myers, part of The Arbor Company, is seeking an Activities Director (Engagement Director) to lead engaging lifestyle programs for Assisted Living residents. You will plan and execute a vibrant engagement program that celebrates each resident's unique interests and abilities.

Responsibilities include daily activities, community events, calendars, newsletters, and encouraging participation.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in activities, recreation, life enrichment, or a related field.
• Experience working in senior living is preferred but not required.
• Experience supporting individuals living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia is a plus.

What You'll Do

As our Activities Director, you'll lead the planning and execution of a vibrant engagement program that celebrates each resident's unique interests and abilities.

• Comfortable leading both group and one-on-one activities
• A positive leader who inspires both residents and team members
• An excellent communicator with strong customer service skills
• Proficient with basic computer programs and administrative tasks
