Activities Director (Healthcare)

What to expect:
$5,000 Sign on Bonus for those with either: National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (ADC or ACC) Certificate or a COTA license
A Life Enrichment Director will plan, coordinate, supervise, and manage the Life Enrichment Department. Identifies the therapeutic and recreational needs of individual and coordinates programs to meet these needs on a group or individual basis.
What to Expect: As the Activities Director, you'll be the mastermind behind our vibrant activity program. Your mission is to create exciting and meaningful experiences that cater to the interests and needs of our residents.
Activity Planning: Dream up and organize a variety of fun activities, from group outings to in-room entertainment for our bed-bound residents.
Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest regulations and professional standards to ensure our activities are top-notch.
Communication: Be the friendly face that fosters great communication between staff, residents, families, and the community.
Community Involvement: Get involved in community planning and represent our facility in a positive light.
Quality Improvement: Help us continuously improve by developing plans to address any quality deficiencies.
Discharge Planning: Play a key role in discharge planning and resident assessments.
Transportation Coordination: Arrange transportation for residents to ensure they never miss out on the fun.
Documentation: Keep detailed and engaging records of all activities and resident responses.

Impactful Work: Make a real difference in the lives of our residents.
Successful candidates:
Certification Council for Activity Professionals (ADC or ACC), or
An occupational therapist or assistant with at least one year of experience in a nursing care facility, or
A person with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in social or behavioral sciences with at least one year of experience in a nursing care facility, or
A person with at least two years of experience in social or recreational program work, with at least one year in a healthcare setting, willing to complete a training course for activity professionals.
Appropriate licensure to drive facility bus
Ability to work with all residents and families to evaluate residents' needs.
Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
Knowledgeable with computer applications; Microsoft Office.
Must possess excellent customer service skills.
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 DOE
