LOCATION: Los Angeles – Corporate Office

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt, Part Time

SALARY: $25.00 Hourly Rate

This position is in-office and requires travel.

Position Overview

The Activities Coordinator is responsible for creating and deploying engaging programs for NHF guests, including activities like painting, crafts, exercise, and journaling. The role involves planning, budgeting, and coordinating activities, maintaining community relationships, overseeing volunteer programs, and collaborating with management to tailor programs to guest needs.

Responsibilities
  • Create and develop engaging programs for guests
  • Provide cost estimates for activities for approval
  • Develop quarterly and yearly activity calendars
  • Build and maintain relationships with guests and community members
  • Work with directors and management to design relevant programs
  • Conduct community assessments and partner with city agencies
  • Coordinate and implement programs promoting health and social development
  • Manage volunteer performance and provide training as needed
  • Report on program activities and expenditures
  • Arrange guest travel for outside activities
  • Follow NHF policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Strong creative skills relevant to our population
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organizational skills to manage schedules and volunteers
  • Willingness to travel locally and adapt to schedule changes
  • Professionalism and accountability
  • 2-3 years’ experience in similar roles preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM and website management skills a plus
  • Ability to create engaging PowerPoint presentations
  • Reliable transportation; bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Background checks and TB testing may be required
Physical Requirements

Work involves both office and recreational settings, requiring the ability to operate standard office equipment, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform activities outdoors. Good communication skills are essential.
