Position Overview

We are seeking experienced and dedicated College Admissions Counselors to join our team on a part-time, contract basis. As a counselor at Counsly, you will work directly with students to help them craft compelling applications, develop strong personal statements, and strategize for success in the competitive admissions process. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education, mentorship, and student success.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one virtual counseling sessions with students, providing personalized guidance on college applications, essays, and overall strategy.
• Offer expert feedback on personal statements, supplemental essays, and other application materials.
• Assist students in developing a well-rounded college list based on their goals and qualifications.
• Provide insights on admissions trends and best practices to help students maximize their chances of success.
• Maintain clear communication with students and their families throughout the admissions process.
• Collaborate with the Counsly team to refine our services and contribute to the growth of the company.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in college admissions, counseling, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the U.S. college admissions process, including application requirements, essay strategies, and interview preparation.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with experience reviewing and critiquing application essays.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while being proactive and communicative.
• Passion for mentorship and guiding students through a stressful process with empathy and expertise.
• Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of a startup environment.
