Job summary

Riviera-Palms-Rehabilitation-Center in Florida is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Activity Manager in delivering a diversified program of activities designed to meet the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each patient.

The role includes assisting with activity plans, coordinating with volunteers, recording participation, and helping with calendars while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality under regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in the activities department is required.
• Assist the Activity Manager in providing an ongoing program of activities to meet patients’ well-being.
• Assist with volunteers and volunteer programs as requested by the Activity Manager.
• Complete attendance and participation records for individual and group activities.
• Develop activities that reflect patients’ needs and interests as assigned by supervisor.
• Assist in escorting patients to and from activities.
• Assist in developing the Activity calendars.
• Provide personal care as needed within CNA scope and keep documentation up to policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Manager in providing an ongoing program of activities for each patient.
• Assist with activity programs to meet patients’ functional levels and interests.
• Complete records indicating patient attendance and participation in activities.
• Escort patients to and from activities as needed.
• Develop and maintain the Activity calendars.
• Provide patient comfort and respond to call lights; report observations to nursing supervisor.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with all regulations.
