Job summary

Solaris HealthCare Imperial in Naples, FL is hiring an Activities Assistant CNA to plan and implement recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for residents. You will assist residents, promote participation, and maintain records while collaborating with nursing staff and therapists to integrate activity programs into the care plan.

Florida CNA certification is required; APC certification is preferred or candidates must be willing to obtain it.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Florida CNA certification.
• Experience in activities programming or related field preferred.
• Passion for working with older adults and diverse needs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Creativity, enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for residents.
• Provide hands-on assistance during activities, ensuring safety, comfort, and enjoyment.
• Encourage resident participation in activities and promote a sense of community and belonging.
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and observations.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, and social workers to integrate activity programs into the care plan.
• Modify activities to accommodate diverse needs and abilities.
• Assist with supplies, equipment, and materials for activities.
• Communicate with residents, families, and team members to solicit feedback and promote engagement.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to activities programming and care.
• Adhere to regulations governing activities in long-term care facilities.
