Job summary

Southern HealthCare Management is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to support the Activities Department in a Florida facility. The role involves assisting with activity programs designed to enhance patients' physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being, under the guidance of the Activity Manager.

You will help coordinate activities, document attendance, assist with care tasks, and support escorting patients to activities, while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid CNA license.
• Experience in the Activities Department is required.
• Proven ability to assist with activity programs and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Activity Manager in providing an ongoing program of activities designed to meet the interests and well being of each patient.
• Assists with activity programs as planned to meet functional levels, needs and interests of each patient.
• Completes attendance and participation records accurately and timely.
• Completes assessments, MDS, care plans and gathers information to design multifaceted activities.
• Assists with escorting patients to and from activities.
• Assists in developing the Activity calendars.
• Provides personal care and services as needed (ADLs, safety, grooming, feeding, mobility, hydration, etc.).
• Obtains and records vital signs and weight as assigned.
• Documents all care accurately per policy and state/federal regulations.
• Provides patient comfort by responding to call lights and requests and reporting observations to nursing staff.
