Job summary

Jackson Manor in Missouri is seeking compassionate individuals for Part-Time Shifts as an Activities Assistant. You will plan and lead floor activities, prepare snacks, arrange dining tables, and help residents participate in daily programs.

The role requires a High School diploma, NCCAP coursework or certification preferred, and experience with activity programming. Weekend, holiday, and evening availability are expected, with benefits including PTO, tuition reimbursement, and company-wide

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 NCCAP college credits preferred.
• 500 hours of activity programming experience preferred.
• OTA or NCCAP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, pre-plan and implement floor activities based on center activity schedule.
• Use monthly calendar ideas to plan and organize special floor activities.
• Prepare special snacks with residents.
• Set up the dining room tables for activities.
• Clean up after all activities.
• Complete required logs and charting.
• Assist residents to and from common areas as stated by their care plan.
• Assist other departments with residents as needed and required.
• Weekends, holidays and evenings required.

Essential Functions of Activities Assistant:

• Schedule, pre-plan and implement floor activities based on center activity schedule
• Use monthly calendar ideas to plan and organize special floor activities

• Keeping all activity areas clean, safe and free from clutter
• Assist residents to and from common areas as stated by their care plan
• Assist other departments with residents as needed and required
• Weekends, holidays and evenings required

Qualifications of Activities Assistant:

• High School Diploma or general equivalency is required
• 6 college credits in applicable study as required by NCCAP is preferred
• 500 hours of experience in activity programming is preferred
• Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant or NCCAP Certification is preferred
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
