Job summary

Altercare Canton is hiring a part-time Resident Activity Assistant in Canton, OH. The role involves organizing activity programming, one-to-one interventions, and facilitating group sessions to support resident engagement.

We offer flexible 8–12 hour weeks, on-site work, and training if needed. Experience in healthcare activities and strong communication with residents are valued, with STNA preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Healthcare activity department experience or equivalent preferred.
• STNA license preferred, but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily activities to residents and assist them with events.
• Help residents get to activities and participate in programs.
• Complete daily documentation and assist Activity Director with duties.

Resident Activity Assistant organizes and participates in person-specific activity programming, including one to one interventions, small group facilitation and large group presentations and assists the resident activity director as needed.

Qualifications for Activities Assistant

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in activities department in a healthcare setting or equivalent
• STNA license is preferred, but we will train

Responsibility of communicating to residents the daily activities, helping residents to activities, doing daily documentation and helping with miscellaneous duties that the Activity Director brings forth.

Experience with residents in a healthcare setting in an activity nature, is a plus.
