The Eisenberg Assisted Living Residence on the campus of The Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester, MA is seeking a part-time Activities Assistant. The role covers memory/dementia care and requires coordinating and implementing activities for residents, including those with dementia, to meet diverse needs.

Activities Assistant - Assisted Living Facility

The Eisenberg Assisted Living Residence is an 80 unit (19 are special care) assisted living residence located on the campus of the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester, MA. The campus provides a full continuum of senior healthcare services to the community including: skilled nursing care, short term rehabilitation, long-term skilled nursing care, Alzheimer's care, private care, hospice and life-care management services.

We are looking for a part time Activities Assistant. This is a 12 hour position, working 3pm to 7pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. This position includes work in memory/dementia care.

The Activities Assistant assists with creation, coordination, and implementation of activities to meet needs, capabilities and interests of all residents, including those dealing with dementia.

RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior experience with a geriatric population preferred but not required. Experience with dementia care preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal skills. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with a diverse group of residents with various physical, social, and psychological needs.
