Job summary

Carlton Senior Living is hiring an Activities Assistant to lead and support engaging group and individual activities for residents in a warm, caring environment.

Role requires 18+ years old, experience with older adults, and willingness to learn Teepa Snow's approach. Responsibilities include assisting with games, music, art, events, and daily living activities as needed, with a focus on safety and participation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience with older adults or vulnerable populations.
• Willingness to learn Teepa Snow's Positive Approach to Care and Gem States.
• Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic with strong communication skills.
• Creative and adaptable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Computer literate for communication, scheduling, ordering, tracking, basic graphic design, and activities research.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with group and one-on-one activities engaging residents in GEM States with Teepa Snow's model.
• Provide hands-on support during games, education programs, music sessions, arts, social events, and excursions.
• Promote resident participation by creating a welcoming environment.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning activity spaces, ensuring safety and accessibility.
• May assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, escorting, transfer and meal assistance.
• Support safety protocols, emergency plans, and elopement prevention practices.
• Foster a warm, collaborative atmosphere with residents, families, and team members.

What We Are Hiring For:

Full Time, Sunday - Thursday | 8AM-4:00PM

Pay Range: $

20-21

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and assist with group and one‑on‑one activities designed to engage residents in all GEM States (Teepa Snow's model) with exciting opportunities to stimulate the mind, promote health, and enrich the soul each day.
• Provide hands‑on support during games, education programs, music sessions, art activities, social events, excursions, and more.
• Promote resident participation by creating a welcoming and encouraging environment.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning up activity spaces, ensuring safety and accessibility for all residents.
• May assist our residents with activities of daily living that can include dressing, escorting ,transfer assistance, and meal assistance.
• Support safety protocols, emergency plans, and elopement prevention practices.
• Foster a warm, collaborative atmosphere with residents, families, and team members.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years or older, per Title 22 requirements
• Experience working with older adults or other vulnerable populations.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn Teepa Snow's Positive Approach to Care and Gem States.
• Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality with strong communication skills.
• Creativity and adaptability in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Must be computer literate for communication, scheduling, ordering, tracking, basic graphic design, and activities and outing research.
