Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Howard Lake, MN, is seeking a dedicated Activities Assistant to provide meaningful, resident-centered programs in a 32-bed nursing home. You will implement the monthly activity calendar, lead one-on-one and group activities, and collaborate with care teams to promote dignity and wellbeing.

This role requires a high school graduate, experience in social services or geriatrics, and CNA/BLS credentials where required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in social services or geriatrics preferred.
• Knowledge of working with a wide variety of resident demographics.

Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful activities and interventions to residents, one-on-one or in groups.
• Administer the monthly activity calendar and document efforts accordingly.
• Assist with simple nursing procedures and transport residents when needed.
• Support with MDS/EPIC documentation and maintain good communication with staff.

Education

High school graduate or equivalent

CNA certification or enrolled in healthcare program

Experience in social services or geriatrics
