Job summary

Care Initiatives is seeking an Activities Assistant to support our activity program across multiple communities in Iowa. You will work with the activity director to plan, coordinate, and deliver engaging activities that enhance residents’ health, daily routines, and social interaction.

This role emphasizes compassionate care, strong communication, and teamwork with residents, families, and the healthcare staff to create a positive, fun environment for our residents during day shifts.

What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the activity director in implementing an activity program to meet each resident’s needs.


• Maintain the resources needed for each resident’s activity needs.


• Assist the activity director with required record keeping.


• Interact and communicate with residents, families, as well as the healthcare team.


• Encourage and facilitate resident recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health and daily routines.
