Complete Care at Christian Home in Waupun, WI is seeking an Activities Assistant to transform the daily life of residents through art, music, and meaningful human connection.

You will lead creative programs, collaborate with the Activities Director, and create a welcoming, well-organized space that sparks joy and companionship for our residents.

Qualifications

• A Creative Soul: An artistic background or experience in music, art, or therapeutic recreation is highly valued.
• Energy & Leadership: A proven ability to lead groups with enthusiasm and work effectively both independently and as a team.
• Experience: Previous experience in long-term care or a similar setting is preferred.
• Compassionate Communication: Strong verbal and written skills with a heart for the elderly.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to maintain a high-energy pace and lift up to 50 lbs to assist with event setups.

Responsibilities

• Creative Program Leadership: Design and implement group and one-on-one programs—from art therapy and live music sessions to cognitive games—that foster social interaction and joy.
• Resident Connection: Spend meaningful time with residents, encouraging them to rediscover their passions and stay active in our community.
• Collaborative Planning: Partner with the Activities Director to brainstorm and execute "outside-the-box" events and seasonal celebrations.
• Holistic Coordination: Maintain a well-organized creative space, ensuring all "supplies for success" are ready and inventoried.
• Clinical Collaboration: Keep accurate records of participation and share observations with the nursing team to ensure well-rounded care.
