Job summary

Hireology is seeking an Activity Assistant in Missouri to support a skilled nursing team. You will help plan and deliver engaging activities that honor each resident’s interests and abilities, creating a vibrant, inclusive environment.

With supervision from the Activity Director, you will lead group and individual activities, assist with documentation, and coordinate supplies for daily programs in a caring, resident-centered setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Activity certification is preferred.
• Experience in long-term care is preferred.
• Experience leading recreational or social programs within the last five years is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and leading daily activity programs such as arts & crafts, games, music, exercise, educational sessions, religious services, and community outings.
• Encourage residents to participate in group and one-on-one activities.
• Help maintain accurate activity documentation (with training).
• Support the Activity Director with supply ordering, receipts, and monthly activity calendars.
• Maintain resident preference lists, precautions, and activity limitations.
• Help facilitate Resident Council meetings when needed.
• Participate in planning special events involving residents, families, staff, and the community.
• Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all residents.
