Primary Responsibilities:

The Activities Assistant helps plan, coordinate, and implement activity programs tailored to residents' needs.

Essential Functions:

• Develop and execute activity programs suited to residents' backgrounds, interests, and abilities
• Assist the Activities Director in evaluating residents' needs and preferences
• Document activity plans and progress notes
• Support in setting up activities, including gathering supplies and preparing rooms
• Create and distribute monthly activity calendars and facility newsletters
• Ensure safety, infection control, and cleanliness standards are met
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Proficiency with computers, email, Word, and Excel
• Understanding of best practices in activities programming
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a cheerful disposition
• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly in compliance with HIPAA and corporate policies
• Previous experience in long-term care preferred
