Job summary

The Birches at New Hope is seeking a compassionate Activities Aide to support seniors in our New Hope community. You will plan and facilitate a variety of group and individual activities, fostering a positive, engaging environment and enriching residents' daily lives.

The role requires effective English communication, teamwork with staff and volunteers, and willingness to work every other weekend. We offer a competitive salary and a benefits package including PTO, health/dental/life/disability,

Qualifications

• A passion for helping seniors.
• A desire to contribute to a positive atmosphere in the community for residents, family & friends, and all team members.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; both oral and written.
• Ability to work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and providing a variety of active and passive, group and individual activities which enhance the mental, physical, spiritual, and social needs of residents through assessments, allowing them to play an active role in the community.
• Assist with maintaining and expanding Volunteer Programs.
• Assist in arranging transportation and escorts for residents to and from outside and community activities.
