Job summary

Qualifications

• State Registered Nurse Aide (SRNA/CNA) certification preferred.
• Experience with geriatric or long-term care populations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with grooming and preparation before activities and events.
• Encourage resident participation in individual and group activities.
• Assess residents' interests and abilities to support meaningful programming.
• Plan, organize, and implement daily activities and special events.
• Conduct in-room visits and one-on-one activities for residents unable to attend group programs.
• Assist with community outings and resident excursions.
• Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for activity programs.
• Support Resident and Family Councils and communicate resident concerns.
• Assist with facility fundraising and charitable events as needed.
• Sort and deliver resident mail and newspapers daily.
• Maintain a positive, engaging, resident-centered environment.

If so, Park Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team!

As an Activities Assistant, you will play an important role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by helping plan and facilitate engaging activities, special events, and social programs that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Essential Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist residents with grooming and preparation before activities and events.

• Encourage resident participation in individual and group activities.

• Assess residents' interests and abilities to help support meaningful programming.

• Assist with planning, organizing, and implementing daily activities and special events.

• Conduct in-room visits and one-on-one activities for residents unable to attend group programs.

• Assist with community outings and resident excursions.

• Help recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for activity programs.

• Support Resident Council and Family Council meetings, communicating resident concerns to the Administrator and appropriate departments.

• Assist with facility fundraising and charitable events as needed.

• Ensure resident mail and newspapers are sorted and delivered daily.

• Maintain a positive, engaging, and resident-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• State Registered Nurse Aide (SRNA/CNA) certification preferred.

• Experience working with geriatric or long-term care populations is a plus.
