Job summary

Leavitt Family Jewish Home in Massachusetts is seeking an Activities Assistant to deliver engaging recreational and therapeutic activities for residents. This PRN role supports individual care goals and events, with responsibility for documenting participation and progress.

Responsibilities include coordinating group activities, transporting residents to outings, and ensuring safe engagement. Candidates should have a high school diploma, 1 year in assisted living preferred, and solid MS Office

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Assisted Living or Long-Term care preferred.
• MS Office skills including Word, Publisher, Outlook, and Excel.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English (written and spoken).

$18.00 - $19.00/hour, based on experience

Delivering Solutions that Matter:

• Assist with providing engaging recreational and therapeutic activities that support residents' individual needs and care goals.
• Document participation and progress accurately.
• Assist with coordinating and supervising group activities, special events, concerts, and other activities, ensuring residents are safely escorted and actively engaged.
• Safely transport residents to recreational outings and appointments by driving community vans and assisting with resident transfers as needed.

Qualifications for Success:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum 1-year experience working in an Assisted Living or Long-Term care setting preferred
• Moderate to advanced computer skills – specifically with MS Office including Work, Publisher, Outlook email, and Excel.

• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written
