Job summary

Sherbrooke Village seeks compassionate Activities Assistant to plan and lead engaging floor activities, supporting residents across daily routines. You will prepare snacks, organize events and ensure safe, clean activity spaces while collaborating with care teams.

Candidates should have a High School diploma (GED acceptable), and preference for NCCAP/OTA certification or Missouri CNA license. Shifts include weekends, holidays, and evenings, with comprehensive benefits and learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• NCCAP certification or OTA certification preferred.
• MO CNA license preferred.
• 6 college credits in applicable study preferred.
• 500 hours of activity programming experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, pre-plan and implement floor activities based on center activity schedule.
• Plan and organize special floor activities using monthly calendar ideas.
• Prepare special snacks with residents.
• Set up dining room tables for activities.
• Clean up after activities.
• Complete required logs and charting.
• Keep activity areas clean, safe and free from clutter.
• Assist residents to and from common areas as stated by their care plan.
• Assist other departments with residents as needed and required.
• Weekends, holidays and evenings required.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

6 college credits in applicable study (NCCAP preferred)

500 hours of activity programming experience (preferred)

Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant or NCCAP Certification (preferred)

Willing or have CNA License for Missouri

Qualifications of Activities Assistant

• High School Diploma or general equivalency is required
• 6 college credits in applicable study as required by NCCAP is preferred
• 500 hours of experience in activity programming is preferred
• Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant or NCCAP Certification is preferred
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
• Willing or have CNA License for Missouri
