Job summary

National Health Care Associates, Kennebunk, Maine, seeks an Activities Assistant to plan and run recreational programs for residents. This full-time role requires some evenings and weekends, with a $750 sign-on bonus and compensation of $19–$21 per hour.

You will help organize activities, engage residents, and maintain activity records in a compassionate, team-driven environment. You'll collaborate with the Activities Director, develop monthly calendars, and support residents one-on-one,

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Long-Term Care or senior living setting is preferred but not required - training will be provided
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature
  • Interest in the therapeutic needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and executing a diverse range of activities for residents
  • Engage residents in arts and crafts, games, music, and other recreational programs

What You'll Do:

  • $750 sign on bonus!

  • **Full time, some evenings and weekends required ***

  • $19 - $21 an hour

As an Activities Assistant, you have a crucial role in planning and implementing a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities. Your creative ideas and enthusiasm will contribute to fostering a positive and lively atmosphere for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
